Got my chip!
Got my red chip!
Got my red chip to celebrate my 30 day recovery!!!
Many are gonna say — recovery!!??
Yep! Taking steps to breaking the chains that have held me captive for so long. Taking the steps out of denial & giving it all to HIM. Taking the steps in accepting who I am and who HE created me to be. Taking the steps of letting go & saying YES!
It doesn’t have to be recovery in addiction to drugs or alcohol, addiction to crime or gambling, addiction to all the “typical stereotypes” we think of when someone says recovery. We ALL have something — something we struggle with. In CR we like to say Hurts, Hang-ups or Habits— we ALL have them! But when we step out of denial to those things & say “TAKE IT LORD!” — that’s where Recovery begins.
In September, I walked very skeptical into a room full of people with brokenness, worshipping like no other. That night I was introducted to a group of ladies that really cared. I stepped into a small group with other hurting women, just like me. In the weeks that followed I stepped into a Step Study classroom with 10 broken & hurting women — all with different hurts than mine.
These steps were the best steps I’ve taken in my life & I haven’t once wanted to look back — only forward to see where God will be working in healing in my life & all those in CR. So that red chip — it’s more than a chip. It’s my sweet token to a road to recovery!
Thank you for letting me share.
