Calvary's involvement in missions begins in our local community and reaches through our state, nation, and around the world. Our support includes prayers, tithes and offerings, and Short-Term Mission Trips and Projects whenever possible.
Locally, we meet people at their point of need through ministries like:
- Celebrate Recovery Webpage or Facebook - Christian 12-Step Recovery from Hurts, Hang-ups & Habits.
- GriefShare - Grief Support Groups meet most Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Adopt A School - Reaching our schools for Jesus #StuffTheBus4Kids
Benevolent & "Hands On" Help - Meeting physical needs in our church and community.
Expanding outward, Calvary works through the Bethel Church Planting Network to help those men and their families who are reaching into nearby communities by establishing new churches to reach people for Christ.
Looking even further, we support our Southern Baptist missionaries to the United States and Canada through the North American Mission Board, as they take the Gospel to individuals that need to see Jesus through their loving ministry.
And finally, the International Mission Board provides the opportunity for us to support our convention missionaries that serve throughout the rest of the world, often under very difficult circumstances, taking the name and love of Jesus to people groups that often have never even heard the name of Jesus!
Missions is not just an activity at Calvary, it is a mindset that motivates our giving, grips our heart, and reveals our passion!
